Found a total of 5 on June 26th in Sequoia National Park under a recently burnt Sequoia Redwood tree! They were about a mile away from the world's largest tree, General Sherman. Definitely an extremely lucky find! They were at about 6,000 feet elevation and completely dried out, but not rotted away because of the lack of moisture there in the summer. Not really edible anymore unfortunately. I was just hiking through the park not looking for morels at all, especially considering I'm a North Carolina resident lol.
